Celebrating LIFE!!!

Precious Abba!

Woo Hoo!!!  I am now 28 years old!  Or, rather, 28 years young… particularly in light of Eternity.

In biological terms, I am much older than that… 63, to be exact.  The 28 refers to my most important “birthday” — the day I was born into Your Family, and You welcomed me as Your daughter!!!

Although the second is truly more important, it can’t happen without the first.  I am so thankful for both birthdays, Lord!!!

My spiritual birthday actually happened two days ago, on May 20th.  I had been anticipating it for weeks, thanking You for it long before the actual day was here.  When the day finally came, I was so busy opening my “presents” from You, the day slipped by with little fanfare.

There was no cake.  No candles.  No party.  Most people don’t even know why this particular date is so special to me.  And I’m totally OK with it being our Special Celebration together, Abba.  But this year, You gave me two presents I treasure as priceless.

My schedule had been wide open that day.  But suddenly, two different clients had to reschedule appointments set earlier in the week.  Both just “happened” to reschedule for that particular day.  🙂  Giving me two opportunities to serve You that day.  Opportunities that, by Your Spirit, bore much fruit.

You changed two lives that day, Lord… and, in what I can only conclude is yet another miracle of Your Grace, You let me play a small part in Your beautiful work.

“I am the Vine; you are the branches.  If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.”  (John 15:5)

I came off the mountain today, for the first time in several days, to shop for groceries.  One disadvantage of living so remotely is that our cell phones don’t work here when we are at our house.  So today, in the nearest city, I turned on my cell phone and was deluged with text messages and voicemails!  One voicemail in particular was yet another birthday gift from You, Lord.  It had arrived on time (Wednesday), I just didn’t know it… until today.

The voice of one You have made so dear to me sang:  “Happy Birthday to you!  “Happy Birthday to you!”  I must have told her at some point… and she remembered.  So I remembered… with overflowing JOY!

“I thank my God every time I remember you.”  (Philippians 1:3)

Thank You, Abba!!!  For giving me LIFE on May 20, 1987!  For such an awesome Birthday celebration this week!  And for the awesome celebration that happens 24/7, 365 days every year… because, by Your Amazing Grace, I am forever Yours!!!

“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit — fruit that will last — and so that whatever you ask in My name the Father will give you.”  (John 15:16)

JOYFULLY Yours,

Abba’s Girl
