At Your Feet

That’s where I pictured myself this morning, Lord.

At Your Feet.

But it wasn’t just one picture… it was many.

Breaking at Your Feet… THE JUDGE OF ALL.

My Judge.

Acknowledging Your holiness.  Receiving Your forgiveness.  Aligning my mind and my will to Your freedom-giving Truth.

“For He has set a day when He will judge the world with justice by the Man He has appointed.  He has given proof of this to everyone by raising Him from the dead.”  (Acts 19:31)

Kneeling at Your Feet... THE KING OF KINGS.

My King.

Acknowledging Your lordship.  Respecting Your Sovereignty.  Awaiting Your leading, so I may follow, obey and serve.

“I charge you to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in His own time — God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords…”  (1 Timothy 6:14-15)

Huddling at Your Feet… THE LORD OF HOSTS.

My Lord.

Acknowledging Your authority.  Reveling in Your might.  Accepting Your deliverance, so I may stand again and fight to certain Victory.

“Our Redeemer — the Lord Almighty is His name — is the Holy One of Israel.”  (Isaiah 47:4)

Resting at Your Feet… THE GOOD SHEPHERD.

My Shepherd.

Acknowledging Your protection.  Responding to Your Voice.  Appreciating Your provision for my every need.

“I am the Good Shepherd.  The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep… I know My sheep and My sheep know Me.”  (John 10:11,14)

Cuddling at Your Feet… THE EVERLASTING FATHER.

My Father.  My Abba.

Acknowledging Your patience with me.  Rejoicing at Your faithfulness.  Adoring You… the One who adored me first and adopted me forever.

“For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.  The Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.  And by Him we cry, ‘Abba, Father.’  The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.”  (Romans 8:14-16)

Sighing at Your Feet… THE BRIDEGROOM.

My Bridegroom.  My Forever Husband.

Acknowledging Your passion for me.  Relishing Your touch.  Anticipating the blessing of our ever-increasing intimacy.

“Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him glory!  For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready.  Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.  (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of God’s holy people).”  (Revelation 19:7)

At Your Feet.

There’s no place else I’d rather be.

Now… and forever!!!
