It’s 10:30 PM, Lord. Time to call it A Day. And what A Day it has been!
Back home in Florida. Truck only partially unpacked. Need my sleep tonight. Tomorrow, the speech I have been looking forward to for months. My first opportunity to speak to my local women’s networking group.
I LOVE the topic: Gratitude – The Ultimate Secret Weapon. Knowing the Science and Mastering the Art of Releasing a Healthier You! What’s not to love??? 🙂
Maybe I’ll get a head start tonight, Lord… by listing just some of the things I’m grateful for today!
Today’s relatively uneventful seven-hour drive. No traffic. No delays. No accidents.
The electricity and hot water we have here… when, in the wake of Hurricane Matthew, so many others (in states we just drove through) are still without it.
Our access to Diesel along the highway… especially when we were almost empty! (So many gas stations had fuel but no electricity to pump it).
Skippy’s pleasure throughout our journey. How she loves being with her Mommy-cat and Daddy-cat! And the feeling is MUTUAL!
The warm welcome and delicious dinner our extended family shared with us when we drove up!
Skippy’s delight at being home in Florida. How she loves the different game she can hunt here! 🙂
Our home Internet, printer and copier all working perfectly… so I could edit and print out my speech for tomorrow!
The joy You have put into my heart, Lord… as You have helped me crawl out of the pit I was in so recently. And the words You have given me, so that I may be a blessing to those You are assembling tomorrow.
“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” (2 Corinthians 9:8)
“This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people, but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.” (2 Corinthians 9:12)
Yes, Lord… my Cup of Thanks — to You, for You, because of You — is overflowing, indeed!
Like “mainlining” a mega-dose of Vitamin G. GRATITUDE on steroids!
Joyfully… !!! 🙂
