As You well know, Lord, we’ve been having Internet problems lately. Something — or someone? — gobbling up our monthly gigabytes at an “ungobly” pace. (Misspelling intended!) 🙂 Preventing us from accessing the websites we use the most… including this one!
After HOURS on the phone with our service provider — on three separate occasions — we still had no resolution. I had to drive to the nearest town (10 or 20 miles, depending on which direction we go) to use my iPad… which worked perfectly, once I was away from our home network. At least the problem was now isolated to our own Internet connection.
A service tech is scheduled to come Wednesday to check out the overall “hardware” — satellite disk, wires, connections, etc. I was all set to drive at least 10 miles every day between now and Wednesday to do whatever I needed to do on the Internet.
Until today, that is.
It’s raining here. Normally, satellite Internet doesn’t work in the rain. But this morning, not only is it working… our problem has been solved!!! We can reach every website and perform every function needed! Go figure!
So what does this mean, Lord? That now our Internet will work great in the rain (when it isn’t supposed to)? But not in the absence of rain (when it is supposed to)? Or are we now “good to go”… rain or shine? 🙂 Time will tell…
It’s an Enigma wrapped in Mystery.
Like Life with You often is… right Lord? When Truth is actually the opposite of what our limited minds can grasp. When You turn the world’s “wisdom” on its head. And it may at first seem strange, but it’s actually… Wonderful! Even Miraculous!
“Whoever wants to save their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for Me will find it.” (Matthew 16:25)
“… if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.'” (Matthew 17:20-21)
“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven.” (Matthew 5:11-12)
An Enigma wrapped in Mystery. Yet another descriptive and totally appropriate name for You… right, Lord? I’m grateful, too! Because if I could figure You out totally, if I fully understood all there is to You, You would be way too small! 🙂
“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:9)
And You are, after all, the God who created and controls the weather!
“As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater…” (Isaiah 55:10)
… and satellite Internet for us, Lord???!!! 🙂
