Who Needs a Plane???!!!

It was my first flight in over a year.  A two-day business trip a thousand miles away, with fellow Christian business owners.

I decided to check my only bag.  I did so just outside the airport, at the curbside check-in.  A very nice man, who spoke with a Middle Eastern accent, wasted no time in helping me.

When he was finished, he pointed out the TSA Pre-Check symbol on my boarding pass.  It’s certainly a convenience for travelers.  No waiting in lines.  No laborious luggage inspections.  No shoe and/or sweater removal.

I hadn’t paid extra for that convenience.  It must have “just happened.”  🙂

He told me where I would go through security.  (A completely different place from the majority of passengers.)  He made sure I knew all about the benefits, in great detail.

I said, smiling:  “Isn’t that nice?!”

He responded, also smiling:  “You’re special!  Just TODAY, though.”

Without missing a beat, You gave me my next words:

“No, I’m special EVERY DAY.  That’s what my Lord says!” (as I pointed upward).  Patting his arm, I added: “And you are special, too!”

I didn’t mention Your name, Lord, but the cross around my neck was obvious.

My joy — Your joy in me — must have been contagious!  He laughed — beamed — exclaiming:  “That is WONDERFUL!”

How could I not thank You and praise You, Lord… all the way to the gate?!

Yes, I breezed through security.  Hindrance-free.  Hassle-free.  All because You, Lord, had that airline’s computer system  “randomly” single out my ticket for special treatment!

But I wasn’t the only one You had singled out for special treatment… was I, Lord?

There’s a baggage handler out there who had a brief two-minute encounter with You… because You sent me there as Your Witness.

A lot can happen in 120 seconds!

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”  (Acts 1:8)

“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!”  (Ephesians 3:20)

Flying high tonight!  Who needs a plane???!!!

🙂
