Welcome Home!!!

How beautiful it is, Lord — how amazing — when You do A New Thing!

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.    See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”

For months, I have been praying — longing — to find a new church home.  Waiting for You to lead in an unmistakable way.  Wanting only to be where You would have us be.  Because You know the plans You have, Lord… and Your plans are always THE BEST!

Two days ago, I wrote about Your Gift of an Unexpected Good Cry.  I received this Gift in church on Sunday, through an encounter with You that was palpable.  Even now, as I remember that encounter, fresh tears come to my eyes from the joy in my heart.

I wondered:  Is this the answer to my prayer, Lord?  Is this our new church Home?

Today, the phone rang.  My dear husband answered in the other room.  I could tell he was surprised by whoever had called. Surprised in a good way.  Then, he suddenly said he was putting me on the phone.  He called me the “chaplain” of our family.   🙂

I said, ‘Hello” with a mixture of curiosity and anticipation.  It was the pastor of the church we had attended on Sunday!

He had noticed we had worshiped there for the last three Sundays.  He wanted to welcome us and answer any questions we might have.  I told him I would love to get together and talk with him.  Our meeting is set for next week.

Then, You did what You love to do, Lord.  You knit our hearts together as Forever Family.  You prompted me to share with him about my encounter with You on Sunday.  Why did it not surprise me that he had an encounter of his own?!

He told me You have been changing that congregation — and changing him — in the last 18 months.  I heard the sense of adventure and anticipation in his voice.  They are walking by faith to follow wherever You are leading them.

Oh, Lord… There is nothing more thrilling than walking with You by faith and not by sight!  You have proven this to me in so many ways over the years…

Years when I was… walking by faith to “impossible” places of Forgiveness and Love — even for my greatest Enemy.  Walking by faith to “impossible” places of Hope and Healing – even from my greatest evils.  Walking by faith to “impossible” places of Life and Purpose — even after a lifetime of detours and dead ends.

Wow, Lord… I can hardly wait to discover the fullness of what You are “up to” RIGHT NOW!

“Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; His greatness no one can fathom.”  (Psalm 145:3)

“With God all things are possible.”  (Matthew 19:26)

Expectantly… !!!

Hello Sister, I do believe the Captain of the Hosts is on the move. We know something is coming; not specifically what but that it is being orchestrated by the Master. You are in Florida; I am in New York and God is calling His sons and daughters into greater depth and intimacy. It is, indeed, exciting. Blessings, Denise

Exciting, indeed! And, by His grace, we will be His witnesses — in Florida and New York and to the ends of the earth. Praising the Lord for the Internet… and for every means by which He connects us to His heart. xoxo, Diana
