Like how You choose to arm us for battle. Because we’re at war… whether we realize it or not.
“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)
Warfare in the natural employs weapons like Deception. Double Agents. Encrypted Codes. Embedded Combatants. So it is never clear who is Enemy and who is Friend.
You wage warfare with the Supernatural. Because the most vital wars must be won from the inside out, with… Belts ofTruth. Breastplates of Righteousness. Helmets of Salvation. Shields of Faith. The Sword of the Spirit. Prayers in the Spirit.
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers… the authorities… the powers of this dark world and… the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 6:12)
So You arm us with weapons that seem to defy reason. Weapons that turn human wisdom on its head. Like JOY that is strength and LOVE that covers sins. GRACE that is sufficient. POWER that is made perfect in weakness.
Weapons of Mass Construction. But what if we don’t know about them, Lord… or how to effectively wield them in our pursuit of Victory?
I spoke with a precious sister-in-Christ today. She is battle-weary to the max. Wounded by the enemy’s relentless attacks. Not knowing — and desperately wanting to know — what to do next. For herself… and for her family.
She’s that mother on the airplane in crisis. Who has to put on her own oxygen mask before she puts on her child’s. She can’t pass on what she doesn’t have. She can’t help anyone else if she has passed out.
What a beautiful construction project You have planned for her, Lord! I don’t just think this… I know it. Because she is eager to seek You… and to follow, wherever You may lead. And You have promised her a Makeover.
“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. I will build you up again, and.. you will… go out to dance with the joyful.” (Jeremiah 31:3-4)
I can hardly wait to see her Transformation, Lord. I will… only if You open the door.
