The Rest of The Story – Part 2

You left me hanging yesterday, Lord.  Maybe You had to… for my sake.  So I could really process what You were trying to say.

The importance and urgency of The Message.  The Certainty and Assurance of Your Grace.

You laid out The Rest of Your Story long ago.  I awoke yesterday at sunrise, thinking about The Wonder of It All — The Wonder that You are.  I wanted to sing that to You.  But, by Your Divine orchestration, You chose a different song for me.

Through another “everyday miracle.”

Was Your choice of that song a foreshadowing that The Rest of Your Story — that culminates in the book of Revelation — is about to come to Life?

“I give you all my weakness, You give me Your Strength… ‘Cause I’m here again, here at my end, where You begin… I’ve seen Redemption come in and save the day, so I don’t have to be afraid… You make all things new, so I will trust in You…”

The Wonder of It All.  The Fact that we know “The Rest of The Story” before it happens? Now, as it is happening?

The Wonder of It All.  The Fact that You warn us, so we will not be caught off guard? Or that You move heaven and earth to instruct, direct, reassure, comfort and encourage us, so we can make the most of whatever time remains?

Even orchestrating a technical iPhone glitch to make Your point???

Be very careful, then, how you live — not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.”  (Ephesians 4:15-16)

“… with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at His coming.”  (1 Peter 1:13)

The Wonder of It All.  The Fact that these are not times to be sidelined by fear?  Instead, they are the very Times we are to be emboldened?  By the FAITH, JOY and PEACE that all come from knowing we are on the side of The One who has written The Rest of THE Story?

“Now FAITH is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”  (Hebrews 11:1)   SO…  “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is FAITHFUL.”  (Hebrews 10:23)

“Do not grieve, for the JOY of the Lord is your strength.”  (Nehemiah 8:10)

“And the PEACE of God that transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  (Philippians 4:6-7)

How appropriate, Lord, that as I awoke yesterday You would remind me of These Times. Glorious Times, as Your Story moves toward its climax!  Pivotal Times, when You are calling all of Your children to…

WAKE UP… GROW UP… TRAIN UP… SUIT UP… and SHOW UP… like never before!

Because, by Your choosing, we are part of The Rest of Your Story.  And by Your Spirit, we will take our place and do our part!

Because Your Grace IS sufficient!
