I Didn’t Know… But You Did, Lord!

I was going to our monthly networking group.  Women from all walks of life, encouraging and supporting each other.

You gave me a “heart prompting,” Lord.  I texted a dear “sister” to see if she was going, so we could sit together and hug in person.  She responded, “Yes, I’m on my way!”

I didn’t know… but You did, Lord.

When I got there, I saw her across the room, saving me a seat.  We chatted and hugged, then she encouraged me to get my lunch while she waited for her other “table mates.” When I came back, the table was full.

I knew several of the others.  Beloved fellow Christ-followers.  But there was more.

Several wore red t-shirts “advertising” the mission You created in our midst, Lord.  The mission I so dearly love… Samaritan’s Touch Care Center.  My sister said, “I guess you knew… They’re speaking today!”

I didn’t know… but You did, Lord.

At the proper time, the Community Development Director went to the podium.  She shared a beautiful testimony, Lord.  Giving You glory as she lovingly honored Your Name.

Free primary and specialized medical, dental and vision care for the uninsured, “working poor” in our county. Donated care now exceeding $35 million in value, blessing thousands of patients.

Care for the body, mind, emotions and spirit… bringing Healing and Hope, now and forever. Care that has blessed even the speaker’s own adult children.  Because they, too, are the very people Samaritan’s Touch was created to serve.

At the end of her presentation, she offered to answer questions.  There were many.  Many people, it seemed, did not know about this amazing blessing You decided to pour out so abundantly in our midst.  Someone asked, “How did this all begin?”

The speaker came to work at Samaritan’s Touch only recently.  She turned to me and said, “Diana would know.”  She knew I had been there from the beginning.  And she knew I was at yesterday’s meeting because You, Lord, had seated me at her table.

In a room filled with 140 women, You had connected us as only You could.

I was handed a microphone.  And You gave me the words, Lord.  Words that gave You honor and glory for what You have done!  Acknowledging that You, Lord, had decided to move miraculously in our midst.  We had to run as fast as we could to keep up with You!

And the miracles have continued.  Impossible miracles far too numerous for us to count!

“I am the Vine; you are the branches.  If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.”  (John 15:5)

“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”  (Matthew 19:26)

I didn’t know I would be testifying about You, Lord, to 140 women today.

I didn’t know… but You did.

Oh, how I love to give You glory!

“… in your hearts revere Christ as Lord.  Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.  But do this with gentleness and respect…”  (1 Peter 3:15)

Gratefully singing Your praises,

Abba’s Girl

I’ve been wondering how your baby was! I read the headline news and never see the publicity. Thank You Lord for this huge blessing, for Diana and LCW!

Dear sweet sister! As I read your encouraging comments with joy, I couldn’t help but think: My baby? Actually, it’s the Lord’s baby… Amen?! Then I had to chuckle. I don’t know if this will auto-correct, but there isn’t a single “I” in your comment! (At least not the first two times I read it!) I know you typed my name as “DIANA” but it posted as “Dana.” Isn’t that just like the Lord? 🙂 He took the “I” out of DIANA — as He should — because this beautiful work is all about HIM!!! AMAZING! We love You, Lord!!! I love you, Deb!!!
