Heavenly Home Builder!

She’s a dear friend.  More than a friend.  A Forever Sister.

She’s seeking You, Lord, like never before.  And You’re speaking to her, like never before.

“For I know the plans I have for you’, declares the Lord… ‘You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”  (Jeremiah 29:11,13)

She and her husband have busy careers.  They are also building a house.  Her husband is the self-appointed contractor.  It’s driving him crazy!  Has this house-under-construction taken on its own agenda — to oppose its owners at every turn?

My friend has been speaking to the house about You, Lord, saying:  “My God is WAY bigger than you are, house!”  Last night, we were praying in Your presence, together… and You spoke so clearly we both got goose bumps!

“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.”  (Psalm 127:1)

Last night, You gave my Forever Sister a new title:  Spiritual Contractor.  Wow!  Imagine that on a business card!

She is now seeking You, Lord, for the Scriptures You want her to “build” into this house as it is being constructed!  Scriptures that can be physically written into every room.  Even the very foundation!

“By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it.  But each one should build with care.  For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.”  (1 Corinthians 3:10-11)

Scriptures written — and prayed — onto the concrete slab before the flooring is laid.  Onto the vertical 2×4’s and doorposts that frame out the rooms.  Onto the window frames that help fill the interior spaces with Light.

Wow, Lord!  The God-encounters You are preparing for my Forever Sister are AMAZING!  We can almost see and touch them as we look ahead…

… as You meet her in the revelation of each God-chosen Scripture.

… as You meet her when she writes them in the specific places You have chosen.

… as You meet her when she speaks Your Words over her family as they dwell in this God-sanctified home!

“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my Refuge, and my Fortress, my God in whom I trust.”  (Psalm 91:1-2)

She’s Your only Ambassador in that family, Lord… for now.  The only one who has fallen in love with You… so far.  That’s why You have given her this priceless title.  And this priceless assignment.

And I wonder… How many of those Scriptures will be prophecies, Lord?  Promises of a “future state” that she has not yet even dared to hope or imagine?

“As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”  (Joshua 24:15)

Expectantly… !!!
