Divinely Appointed Fashion Fiasco!

She had on the exact same dress I was wearing!

Well… not the exact one.  You know what I mean, Lord!   🙂

I noticed it the moment I entered the hotel lobby.  I was attending an event 33 miles from home with about 50 other women.  She was one of them, although I had never met her before.

I remember a time when I would have discreetly stayed on the other side of the room, hoping no one would notice what some would consider a Fashion Fiasco.

But not tonight.

“A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.”  (Proverbs 16:9)

The program started shortly after I arrived, so we watched the presentations from a few rows apart.  Then we all adjourned to the lobby for wine, water and conversation.

Suddenly, You filled me with boldness, Lord.  I marched right up to her, as she was talking with two other women.  When the three turned to welcome me, I put my arm around her and said, “DId you notice?  We’re twins!”

We all laughed!

Then You did what You so love to do, Lord.  You connected us… heart to heart.  She’s Your Daughter.  My Forever Sister.  Family with a capital “F.”

And we might never have met.  Except that You prompted each of us to wear the same dress tonight.  And You said “Go meet her.”   And You gave me boldness… so I was fearless!

“The Lord is my Light and my Salvation — whom shall I fear?”  (Psalm 27:1)

We exchanged business cards.  How could we not?  We both knew one thing for sure:

You are up to something, Lord…

… and I can hardly wait to find out what!

“Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”  (Jeremiah 33:3)

Ahhh, Lord… What an adventure Life is with You!!!

Expectantly,

Abba’s Girl

My precious brother! How I love and miss you both! I just finished reading the book, War Room. I decided to pre-order the DVD instead of seeing it in the theater. I have a feeling it will be one of those “classics” I want to watch over and over, to build my FAITH and PRAISE to the Lord!
