Yesterday was a Purple and Yellow Day.
Where could such a concept have come from, Lord? Out of my own imagination? Never in a million years. Yet there it was… laid out before me in the most obvious way by none other than You, the Almighty Creator of the Universe. You, Lord, who gave me eyes to see the Beauty of Your welcome to Sanctuary Hill.
But sometimes — always? — You wanted to add an “exclamation point” to Your message to me yesterday. So You did… in yet another “impossible” way!
“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26)
I was upgrading just one of the scores of programs on my computer. A new security feature popped up. One I have never seen before. A security image. I was to select one of the eight options pictured and give it a name.
I couldn’t believe my eyes.
There, among the options, was a close-up photo of a beautiful flower. The entire image was filled with only two colors…
PURPLE and YELLOW!
Reminding me of yesterday’s message from You! PURPLE — the color of Royalty. Reminding me that I am Yours, Lord. A Daughter of The King. YELLOW — the color of Sonshine. Reminding me that I am fully ALIVE because You have risen… and You rule in the Universe — and my heart — forever!
And now, this PURPLE and YELLOW photo as my security image? I had to laugh out loud! What, after all, could possibly be more secure than YOU?!
“The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in Him all things were created; things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through HIm and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” (Colossians 1:15-17)
A God-Style Exclamation Point, indeed!
Oh, Lord… What will You to today???
