That’s what Your kind of Transformation is… isn’t it, Lord?
A Son-burn on the inside.
“”… [Jesus] will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” (Matthew 3:11)
A complete, major, thorough change into someone or something different. An extreme, radical change.
“… the old has gone, the new is here!” (James 5:17)
You have called me into a deeper quest, Lord, to better understand how real and lasting Transformation occurs. It’s the Labor of Love to which You have called me in this life — to help others on their own journeys from here to There. You have taught me so much… and shown me there is still so much more to learn!
How I love this journey, Lord… and taking it, together, with You! 🙂
Because You are the Solution to this (and every) Riddle. The Secret behind this (and every) Mystery. The Source of this (and every) Truth. The Special Sauce that flavors this (and every) “Food for Thought.”
The change You bring to our spirit is the most radical of all, Lord. One moment, we are spiritually dead. Then, we say “Yes!” to You… and the very next moment, we are ALIVE!
“Very truly I tell you, whoever hears My Word and believes Him who sent Me HAS eternal life and will not be judged. He HAS [already] crossed over from death to Life.” (John 5:24)
But the Transformation of our soul — our mind, emotions and will — is apparently a work You complete over time. And what a precious reassurance You give us, Lord… that You will complete that work in due time!
“… being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6)
It’s that layer-upon-layer process of Transformation that You are teaching me about now, Lord. It may not be easy… but it’s pretty simple. Because it’s all about You.
The closer we draw to You — the more intimate we become with You — the more we can…
… “look” into Your Heart with our spiritual eyes…
… “hear” Your Voice with our spiritual ears…
… experience Your Unconditional Acceptance and Unfailing Love for us…
… draw on Your Strength in our weakness…
… and, therefore, be emboldened and empowered to LIVE the Life You have dreamed for us…
… for Your glory and our blessing!
What’s not to like??? 🙂 Or to want… with all that we are???
It is a daily, even moment-by-moment, journey… isn’t it, Lord?
A journey of Discipline, borne out of Desire. Even when our two steps forward are followed by one step back.
“Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalm 37:4)
A journey of Sizzle, borne out of Soaking… in Son-Light.
“For God who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ has made His Light shine in our hearts to give us the Light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.” (2 Corinthians 4:6).
Yep. Son-burn of the best kind.
