What encouragement did You have for me this morning, Abba?

The encouragement of Answered Prayers?!  Encouragement to fill my cup to overflowing?!

Just because I am Your beloved daughter?  Just because You can?

Encouragement in the form of…

The prayers You put in my heart and on my lips.  Extended, Spirit-led prayers… spoken out loud as we drove the 90-miles to the hospital.

The palpable sense of Your Presence, surrounding me like a cocoon..  Bringing the Peace that transcends understanding.

The phone call on the way from our pastor in Virginia.  Even in her grief from her father’s recent death, she called to encourage us with her prayers.

The parking place You had reserved for me in the hospital garage.  A garage that was full. The perfect parking place on the second floor, right next to the stairs.  In the corner closest to the hospital’s main entrance.

The passage of Scripture You directed me to “randomly.”   🙂   The Words I read as we sat in the pre-op admissions area.  Words of reassurance and abundant provision!

“Be glad… rejoice in the Lord your God, for He has given you the autumn rains because He is faithful.  He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before.  The threshing floor will be filled with grain; the vats will overflow with new wine and oil.  I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten… You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the Lord your God, who has worked wonders for you…”  (Joel 2:23-26)

It’s going to be a great day… isn’t it, Lord?   🙂   🙂   🙂

So it was… A GREAT DAY!!!

My dear husband came through the surgery well!!!

Safe and sound, with his sense of humor intact!   🙂

Thank You, Lord, for the power of the many prayers You mobilized on his behalf!

Thank You for the power of Your Grace, which always exceeds our merit AND perfectly matches our needs!

Thank You for the power of Your Healing Touch, which we will both need during his long road to full recovery!

“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.  Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs… For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.”  (Psalm 100:1-2,5)

Woo Hoo... times Infinity!!!

Joyfully Yours,

Abba’s Girl
