If we could bottle it and patent it, we would make a fortune! Because everybody needs it! Not just one time, but all the time!
Like our neighbor. An absentee landlord, here for a few days to get his house (and yard) in shape before snowbirds rent it for the winter season. He’s coming to dinner in a few minutes. A break from his TV dinners. More importantly, a break from his loneliness.
TLC to the rescue! 🙂
Like our precious Skippy. She’s been in the kennel since we left Wednesday to go fishing. I just picked her up. The staff there is both professional and compassionate. They have seen to all of her physical needs. I even paid them extra to give her “cuddle” time. But, like Dorothy famously said in “The Wizard of Oz”: There’s no place like home!”

Where do we even get our “notion” about TLC, Lord? Our sense that we (and others) need it so much, almost like the air we breathe? Is that the “hole” in our hearts, Lord — our TLC Hole — that can only really be filled by You?
“Good and upright is the Lord… He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them His way. All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful… My eyes are ever on the Lord, for only He will release my feet from the snare… Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. Relieve the troubles of my heart and free me from my anguish…” (Psalm 25:1,9-10,15-17)
Thankfully, Lord, Your TLC cannot be bottled! Otherwise, You could not pour it out with such generous abandon. It is patented, however. Some might try to imitate it, but theirs is a pale substitute for Yours. You are only Universal TLC Supplier who will never run out!

I am SO READY for my “cuddle” time with Skippy! But first… I have heard it said that you can’t pass on what you don’t have.
So how about it, Abba? How about filling my “cup”… so I can pass it on???
