The King of Technology – Part 2

Yesterday, I was overwhelmed by Your Sovereignty, Lord!  Sovereignty that manifested itself over even something as simple as a song selection.

How could anyone discount the amazing way You repeatedly defied my iPhone’s man-made technology?  Just so You could lead me down a worship path that would prove be so much sweeter than the one I originally had in mind!

Why would You go to such lengths, Lord, to supernaturally play totally different songs from the ones I had tried to play?  Just because You could?  Or because You delight in “blessing our socks off” by moving in ways that can’t be easily dismissed?

Your song selections were wonder enough, Lord.  But, by Your Grace, I discovered You were “up to” so much more than just switching songs on me.  How did I know?

All it took was Your kindness in popping a simple question into my head:  “Was there any pattern to Your Divine orchestration?”  My first thought was to count the number of songs between the songs You and I had chosen.

All three times, the number was the same — THIRTEEN!

For many, that number means superstition and “bad luck.”  But for me, it has come to mean Priceless Treasure.

“My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.  (Colossians 2:2-3)

THIRTEEN:  The number of years between the greatest evil I have ever committed and the day You lovingly and mercifully rescued me forever.

THIRTEEN:  The number of years between that precious Spiritual Birthday and a miraculous journey of healing.  “Impossible” Healing of the deep soul-wound my greatest evil had left inside me.

“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”  (Matthew 19:26)

It was the year You became “Abba” to me, Lord.  My First and Forever Daddy.

“‘I will be a Father to you, and you will be My… daughter,’ says the Lord Almighty.”  (2 Corinthians 6:18)

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.”  (Jeremiah 31:3)

“The Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.  And by Him we cry, ‘Abba, Father.'”  (Romans 8:15)

One more Gift from the King of Technology… who never misses an opportunity to boldly say, “I LOVE YOU!”  🙂

How do You love me, Lord?  Let me count the ways… !!!   🙂
