Targeting youth is a government tactic to inculcate… nationalism… to ultimately usurp Christianity’s influence in future generations… Authorities… have tightened their grip on… churches by ordering that children … be banned from joining religious groups… attending religious sermons … organiz[ing] a youth summer camp.
… to make sure leaders of state-sanctioned churches are thoroughly aligned with [government] dictates and loyal to the state above God … denomination and church leaders were forced by … officials to go through a second round of examinations.
