What are the chances, Lord?  They must be ZERO.

Dear friends had a prayer request for me tonight.  A devastating turn of events for a family dear to them.  A three-year-old whose future now seems very much at risk.

There is never any time like the present to come into Your Presence… is there, Lord?  So we did.  The three of us… together.  Hundreds of geographic miles away from those loved ones.  Barely a spiritual millimeter away from Your Throne.

“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”  (Hebrews 4:16)

We stood in the gap for these dear ones.  We asked You for the Miracle You alone are able to accomplish.  The one that defies all medical knowledge and reason.  The “impossible” one that will stun the doctors.

“This sickness will not end in death.  No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.”  (John 11:4)

This was Your promise to me five years ago, Lord… when You led me into the Valley of the Shadow.  This promise jumped into my spirit as we prayed tonight.  Is this Your promise to this child, too?

“The Lord is my Light and my Salvation — whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the Stronghold of my Life — of whom shall I be afraid?”   (Psalm 27:1)

We entrusted this child and this family to Your Unfailing Kindness and Grace.  Asking You for The Testimony of a Lifetime that will draw thousands to You, Lord, as The Testimony is shared by this family and all who know them.

“Praise be to the Lord, for He has heard my cry for mercy.  The Lord is my Strength and my Shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me.  My heart leaps for Joy, and with my song I praise Him.”  (Psalm 28:6-7)

This little child had torn some papers.  One of the early symptoms that something was wrong.  My friend had a piece.  A piece this child had touched.  A piece my friend had already prayed over and anointed.

Right after our prayer, she tore the piece in two and handed one to me as a reminder to keep praying.  You prompted me to look at the paper.  It was five inches long and one inch wide… with words from some article.

Snippets, not sentences.  But taken together?  What are the chances, Lord, there would be so many words about healing???

“Inquire… you qualify for newer, more advanced… Take a mental break… letting go of the… unhealthy… time… don’t think you can’t… These strategies… turning point… as you’ll likely discover… working through… emotional time…”

What are the chances?  They must be ZERO.  But for You, Lord!

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”  (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Expectantly,

Abba’s Girl
