January 1, 2016.
Already??? Still???
The Old Year ended yesterday in a blur.
The blur of exhaustion from too little sleep after too much post-surgery… everything.
“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
The blur of discovering a New Lifestyle. A Lifestyle of Healing… at least for awhile.
For one third of this New Year?
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” (Isaiah 43:18-19)
For now, this New Day.
“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin…” (Zechariah 4:10)
New Beginnings. New Opportunities.
“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!” (Psalm 118:24)
New Mercies. New Blessings.
“His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22b-23)
New Plans. New Dreams.
“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future…” (Jeremiah 29:11)
New Perspectives. New Insights.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,’ declares the Lord.” (Isaiah 55:8)
New Challenges. New Victories.
“Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.” (Ephesians 6:10)
New Life. New Hope.
“The Lord delights in those who fear Him, who put their hope in His unfailing love.” (Psalm 147:11)
New… everything.
In You, Lord.
My Everything.
