My Latest Graduation Day!

I graduated from innocence fifty-six years ago.  It wasn’t my choice.  It might have even been earlier.  I just don’t remember.

I graduated from high school forty-seven years ago.  Not part of the “in” crowd, but “in” the start of a Bigger Dream unfolding.

I graduated from college forty-three years ago.  A trailblazer, with a year-long stint in Spain. Getting high on life.  In more ways than one.

I graduated from Deepest Darkness thirty-nine years ago.  Infused by HOPE.  Climbing out of The Pit.  Because of You, Lord!  (Though I didn’t know it at the time).

I graduated from spiritual death twenty-nine years ago.  JOY-fully ALIVE for the very first time.  Because of You, Lord!

I graduated from self-medicating addiction twenty-five years ago.  True Deliverance! Because of You, Lord.

I graduated from The Other-Inflicted Wound twenty-two years ago.  Forgiving an Enemy. Impossible Healing.  Because of You, Lord!

I graduated from The Self-Inflicted Wound sixteen years ago.  Fearlessly honest with You. Forgiven of my worst sin.  Forgiving of myself… finally.  Because of You, Lord!

WOW… Time flies!!!  Whether you’re having fun or not… right, Lord?

Today, I graduated from Moffitt Cancer Center!!!  My five-year milestone!!!  Cancer Free!!! No more future visits, unless I am having a problem.  Which I am not.

Which, by Your Grace, I will not.

So many graduations.  I haven’t always had “fun” in the years between them.  But I have found something far better than “fun.” Because of You, Lord.

PEACE and JOY, to name just two.  Peace and Joy that transform the worst of Life’s circumstances into Life’s best.

ALL because of You, Lord.

“And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord…”  (2 Corinthians 3:18)

Grateful to be graduating, yet again…
