My Favorite Days, Too!

It has become her favorite day of the month. The day when You show up, Lord… in ways she has never experienced before.

Why? How? It’s simple… isn’t it, Lord? Only because You have made it so.

“I have loved you with an everlasting Love. I have drawn you with Unfailing Kindness.”  (Jeremiah 31:3)

“Come near to God and He will come near to you.”  (James 4:8)

“And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  (Matthew 28:20)

She is just beginning to discover the Wonder of these Truths, Lord. The Relevance they hold for her everyday life. The Power they have — the Power You have — to change everything around her…

… by changing everything within her.

She was a Reluctant Leader. A family leader. A company leader. Thrust into Positions of Influence through circumstances she never would have chosen.

It has been very hard. Harder than she expected. Harder than she ever wanted.

“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”  (Matthew 11:28)

She is Ready now. For all You have planned, Lord, since before You created the Universe. Ready to seek You — and serve You — like never before.

Ready to savor You… and be satisfied beyond all she has ever imagined.

“Seek the Lord while He may be found, call on Him while He is near.”  (Isaiah 55:6)

“Taste and see that the Lord is good.”  (Psalm 34:8)

She looks forward to our times together. I do, too, Lord. Gratefully. Eagerly. But not for what can give her. Apart from You, I can do nothing. But with You… ?

“With God all things are possible.”  (Matthew 19:26)

Surely this is — You are — why so much happens in our short time together! Just two hours per month?! What if we came to You like this… 24/7? Every day?

It is almost Passover. Death has already passed over her… thanks to You. So what else will pass over her — over us — during the priceless week that is ahead of us?

During Holy Week… because of the Holy Ground we have occupied together?

Doubt? Distraction? Discouragement? Caution? Confusion? Captivity? Whatever it may be, Lord… I can hardly wait! Because…

“… if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”  (John 8:36)

Gratefully…

Eagerly…
