Moving Madness Marathon!

Here we go again, Lord… Packing up to head south — back Home — for the next seven months.

We always know it’s coming.  We set the departure date weeks in advance.

So how do we always end up running around like chickens without our heads???   🙂

Or, at least, I do.  Maybe because I don’t actually start packing until the day before we leave?   🙁   🙂

We’re halfway there, Lord.  After a LONG day of packing and loading and driving.  Skippy’s such a Trooper.  She doesn’t seem to care so much about the ultimate destination.  It’s the journey that she loves.

Because she’s with us.

What a picture, Lord!  Maybe we could (should) take a lesson from our BFF — a.k.a., our Beloved Furry Friend?

Not caring so much about our Ultimate Destination… because, wherever it is, we will be with You.

Loving the journey… because, moment-by-moment, we are with You.  And You with us.  Not just with us… but in us.

“… God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’  So we say with confidence, ‘The Lord is my Helper; I will not be afraid.  What can mere mortals do to me?'”  (Hebrews 13:5-6)

“Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim You, who walk in the light of Your Presence.  They rejoice in Your Name all day long.”  (Psalm 89:15-16)

Time for bed, Lord.  Another long day of driving and unloading and unpacking awaits us tomorrow.  Skippy’s curled up on her soft blankie… in my spot on the king-sized bed.

Loving the snuggling.

Me, too, Abba!   🙂

“The Eternal God is your Refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.”  (Deuteronomy 33:27)

[Deep sigh.]
