Miracles Beyond Counting!

Tonight, I’m thinking wistfully about the eons to come.  I know it will be only by Your Grace, Lord, that I (we?) will be able to live — truly live — whatever time remains for us this side of Heaven.

One day, we will all look back at our time on Earth with wonder, amazed by how quickly it all flew by.  Imagine 30 to 100 years compared to eternity!

This truth, however, doesn’t make our time here any less monumental as we live it moment-by-moment.  Our struggles continue.  Our bodies falter.  And — not but — miracles still occur.

Like the Miracle of Your Sacrificial Love, Lord.

“God demonstrates His own love for us in this:  While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”  (Romans 5:8)

And the Miracle of Your Enduring Love.

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.  I will build you up again…”  (Jeremiah 31:3,4a)

The Miracle of Your Selective Love.

“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to bear fruit — fruit that will last…”  (John 15:16)

And the Miracle of Your Unfailing Love.

“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”  (Joshua 1:5)

The Miracle of Your Empowering Love.

“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus… for ever and ever!”  (Ephesians 3:20)

Miracles beyond counting!

So, tonight, I think beyond the struggles of Life.  I think about You, Lord.

My Savior who rescues me.  My Lover who weeps when I weep.  My Deliverer who strengthens me with His JOY.  My Abba who envelops me with Compassion and Comfort.  My Warrior King who guards me with supernatural Peace that defies even death.

My God, who is all that… and so much more.

Help me, my Beloved — Heart of my heart — to hold on… and to let go.  For this brief, yet monumental, season… until we are forever face-to-face.

“When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.  In God, whose word I praise — in God I trust and am not afraid.”  (Psalm 56:3,4a)

Gratefully…

Longingly…

Abba’s Girl
