Lord of Exclamation Points!

Sometimes — Often? Always? — You something amazing, Lord… to express the magnitude of Your Love for us.  Then, You go above and beyond that amazing thing… as if You aren’t satisfied to just punctuate it with a “period,” because it demands an “exclamation point”!   Not because You must… but because You can!

Like yesterday.

I received a gift from a dear, newly-found sister-in-Christ:  Cathy Rodgers, from Savannah.  She has just published a book called “A Life Course of Miracles & Prayer:  Supernatural Events in Ordinary Lives.”  It is a collection of miracles that occurred to people in her own family.  Stories shared with her by her aunt.  Stories that could only be explained as miracles from You, Lord.

“All Your works praise You, Lord; Your faithful people extol You.  They tell of the glory of Your kingdom and speak of Your might…”  (Psalm 145:10-11)

On the inside cover, Cathy had written a personal message to me:  “Look for the miracles that happen around you every day!  Then tell someone.”  🙂

She didn’t know that, just hours before, I had seen — experienced — another one of Your “Everyday Miracles” in my own life!  She didn’t know that, just hours before, You had prompted me to write and post a blog about that Everyday Miracle… to tell others about it!  She didn’t know that, just hours before, You had moved me to pray that You would give me — all of us — eyes to see Your Everyday Miracles as You express Your love to us!

She didn’t know… but You did!

How did You do it, Lord?!  Orchestrate and time our steps so perfectly that we would meet each other in Savannah (weeks ago, before her book was published), make a heart-to-heart connection there, email each other since then (not once, but several times), turn our conversation to her book, prompt her to send it to me (after writing that particular personal message inside) and have it arrive on the very day You knew I would be praising You for a fresh Everyday Miracle that would unite our hearts even more???!!!

How???  EASY… right, Lord?  Because You are the Lord of Exclamation Points!!!  🙂

“Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; His greatness no one can fathom!  One generation commends Your works to another; they tell of Your mighty acts!  They speak of the glorious splendor of Your majesty — and I will meditate on Your wonderful works!”  (Psalm 145:3-5)

Hoping the goosebumps never stop…  !!!
