In Search of Bigger Containers?!

What container is big enough, Lord?

Certainly not my body!

I’ve been ready to “jump out of my skin” all day long.  Because my body is too small for the JOY I feel inside!

“… yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.”  (Habakkuk 3:18)

At one point in church this morning, I just had to let out a rousing “AMEN!!!” as our pastor preached.  I couldn’t help myself!

Our newly-found congregation is apparently unaccustomed to such “outbursts.”  But no one seemed to mind.  I couldn’t have stopped myself if I had wanted to…

AND I DIDN’T WANT TO!!!   🙂

Why would I want to contain the JOY, Lord… when You are such GOOD NEWS???!!!

“How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”  (Romans 10:15)

YOU ARE RISEN, Lord!!!  Then… now… and FOREVER!!!

“Shout for joy to God, all the earth!  Sing the glory of His name; make His praise glorious.  Say to God, ‘How awesome are Your deeds!”  (Psalm 66:1-2a)

Thank You, Jesus… for all You went through for me — for all of us — to get us to Today!

Thank You, Abba… for Your Master-Full Plan to rescue us!  The Plan that is now FINISHED!

Thank You, Holy Spirit… for being with us always!  For teaching, guiding, comforting and empowering us… until we are finally truly Home!

Home with You, Lord!

“But our citizenship is in heaven.  And we eagerly await a Savior from there, The Lord Jesus Christ…”  (Philippians 3:20)

It’s no use.  No container in the whole universe is big enough for this JOY!!!  Then again, it doesn’t really matter.

In Your eyes, we’re the only containers that will do… right, Lord?   🙂

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.”  (Jeremiah 31:3)

Gratefully,

Abba’s Girl
