Heaven to Diana… Come In, Please!

That’s what it’s been like for the last week, Lord.  Ever since we returned from The Land Down Under. It didn’t take me long to adjust to the 16-hour time difference when we went from Florida to Australia and New Zealand.

But coming back???

Someone told me it takes one day to adjust for every hour of time-zone difference.  If that’s true, it would take 16 days until my return to Normal.  Of course, that’s assuming I was “normal” before we left… 🙂

We’re at 7 days… 9 to go.

It’s somewhat of a pendulum swing.  From “catatonic” on one side to “laser-focused” on the other.  It isn’t just the time difference.  It’s the various times during our 16 days away that we were up for 48 hours straight due to travel delays.  Or the nights since then when my body and brain have seemed insistent on defying Sleep.

But there have also been moments of… Inspiration!!!

Like the two days I spent last week with fellow Christian business owners.  Offering them value-added counsel about their businesses and leadership… despite my exhaustion.  And the precious client call today, filled with rich discipling wisdom. All of it from Your heart… through my lips, into their lives.

Surely it was the prayer I lifted to you in each case, Lord.  It had to be.

“Lord, I have nothing to offer them apart from whatever You will give me.  This is always true!  Yet even more so now, in my weakened physical and mental state!  Please give me words to bless them… that we may all praise You for Your Grace!”

And so… You did!

“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.”  (2 Corinthians 12:9)

I wonder, Lord.  Isn’t that how it often seems to You?  As You call out to me from Your heavenly vantage point… to get my attention and direct my steps?

“Heaven to Diana… Come in, please!”   🙂

I’m feeling very tired tonight.  Like I have every night (and day) since our return.  But I’m not at all sure I will sleep.  Right now, I’m floating — flying — high!!!  How can I not be?!  Because You have showed up “big time” in my times of need.  And there’s no higher “high” than being wherever You are showing Yourself mighty!

“… those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.”  (Isaiah 40:31)

Receiving You, Lord… loud and clear.  Awaiting instructions… Over!  Eager to follow same…

All by Your AMAZING GRACE!
