Personified???

Well, technically, Skippy is not a person.  She is our Baby… but she’s our kitty, too.  So would she be “Focus Kitty-fied”?   🙂

Yesterday, she reminded me of Snoopy.  The cartoon creation of Charles Schulz.  Only one of Snoopy’s poses, actually.

Vulture Snoopy.   🙂

The Consummate Predator.  Sitting on his dog house, looking down.  Ready to swoop down and attack whatever unsuspecting “prey” might cross his path.

Just like Skippy was yesterday.  Vulture Skippy.   🙂

Sitting on the ground, looking down at her feet.  Completely motionless.  As if frozen in place.  Looking down for the slightest indication of movement.

So the mole “haven” in our yard could become Mole Heaven.   🙂

I’ve been learning a lot lately about the importance of FOCUS.  And how powerful it really is. Like the difference between a light bulb and a laser.  The light bulb may light up a dark room.  But the laser?

Its focused light can cut through steel like butter.

I’ve seen Skippy’s laser-like focus in action.  And there’s no arguing with results.  But then, You know all about such FOCUS… don’t You, Lord?

“As the time approached for Him to be taken up to heaven, Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem.”  (Luke 9:51)

“From that time on Jesus began to explain to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that He must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.”  (Matthew 16:21)

“Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say?  ‘Father, save Me from this hour?’ No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour.  ‘Father, glorify Your name!'”  (John 12:27-28)

FOCUS.  Like a laser.  Cutting through anything and everything that might distract or dissuade You.

Have I told You today, Lord, how very grateful I am?

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  (John 3:16)

Focus Personified, indeed!
