Daddy to The Rescue!

It was just yesterday that my Forever Sister and I were rejoicing with You, Lord.  You have done an amazing — yes, even miraculous — thing in her life since we began to walk together in Your Presence.

You restored her relationship with her earthly father.  A relationship that had been broken since she was a child.  A relationship she thought could never be made right.

Until You proved otherwise.

“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”  (Matthew 19:26)

You melted her heart with compassion and forgiveness.  You melted her father’s heart with repentance and longing.  The two came together in an explosion of Love — Your Love, Lord.  Supernatural Love that was both unmistakable and irresistible.

“I have loved you with an Everlasting Love.  I have drawn you with Unfailing Kindness.”  (Jeremiah 31:3)

In the process, You healed another “impossible” relationship, too.  Her relationship with You, Abba — her Heavenly Father.  The Forever Father she to whom she could never relate… on whom she could never rely.

Until You proved otherwise.

“Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all His benefits — who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.”  (Psalm 103:2-3)

Even the kind of “heart sickness” that lies far beyond the reach of anyone but The Great Physician.

“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on Me… He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted… ”  (Isaiah 61:1)

We have seen this healing unfold over the last fifteen months, Lord.  Just yesterday, we were sharing in amazement how You have turned her fear of You into Acceptance and Intimacy.  She knows You now as her Daddy.

She emailed me this morning.  Last night, You gave her a dream.  She was in danger, but she wasn’t afraid.  She shouted, “Daddy!  Daddy!  I need You!”  She knew You were coming.  And she was safe.

She slept like a baby.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  (Philippians 4:6-7)

Even while we sleep!

Covered with goosebumps…   🙂
