Always Sowing… !

I had almost decided I would not raise my hand.

I was surrounded by people seeking breakthroughs — for themselves and the clients they serve.  Most are looking for answers and solutions from everywhere and everyone they can.  Up to a point, that is.

Few, if any, are looking to You, Lord.  It’s a New Age, after all.  Requiring “New Wisdom” yielding “New Solutions.”

Except for one thing.

“What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.”  (Ecclesiastes 1:9)

You are the only One with real answers to old problems, Lord.  The only One who is able to make all things (and/or people) new.

“In the beginning, God created…”  (Genesis 1:1)

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.  And I will put My Spirit in you…”  (Ezekiel 36:26-27a)

I needed some practical coaching help.  It was “now” or “never.”  I knew what You wanted me to do, Lord.

So I raised my hand… and awesome things happened!

I talked about You, Lord.  Who You are to me and the clients I serve.  How and why we seek You for answers.  The lasting impact we hope to have in people’s lives.  How You meet us in deeply transforming ways… ways that turn surviving into thriving.

It was the context I had to give so the coach would know how to speak to my question.  So he could give me the practical help I needed.

And he did!   🙂

I don’t know how my words sounded to those who heard them today, Lord.  I do know You never do anything by accident.  So, for now…

Thank You for the surprise opportunity to share about You with these dear people!

Thank You for the practical help You gave me, to strengthen Your call on my life!

And…

Thank You for the spiritual harvest You are cultivating as a result… in me and those who heard me today!

“As the rain and snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish… so is My word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”  (Isaiah 55:10-11)

“… the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it.  This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”  (Matthew 13:23)

Expectantly,

Abba’s Girl
